Frequently asked questions

Is the CV Tailor free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark. To keep it free for everyone, each person can tailor a few CVs an hour.

Is my CV stored?

No. The PDF is read in your browser, and emails, phone numbers, IC numbers and links are taken out before the text is sent. The text is analysed and then thrown away: it is not saved or logged on this site.

Which AI does it use?

An open model (Llama) running on Groq. Groq processes the text to write the reply. Your contact details are removed before anything is sent.

How is the match score worked out?

The key skills, tools and qualifications in the job ad are split into ones your CV shows and ones it does not. The score is the share your CV shows. It is a guide, not what an employer will see.

Will it make up experience?

It is told to only reword, reorder and emphasise what is already in your CV, and keywords you are missing are kept out of the skills list. AI can still make mistakes, so read every line before you send it.

Is the PDF ATS-friendly?

Yes. It is a single column with plain headings and real text, which applicant tracking systems read well. There are no tables, columns or images.

Does it work for CVs in Bahasa Melayu?

Yes. The analysis and the tailored CV are written in the language of your CV, English or Bahasa Melayu.
